Demoncheese

Demoncheese is my personal domain that I use for a number of reasons - including a showcase of my work and description of my experience in wesite design and development. Demoncheese Designs was originally created to allow me to showcase the work that I had done in Interoute's Intranet and Extranet. The site has since grown to encompass the bespoke wesite designs that I have done and my employment experience since.

The remainder of the site functions as my personal home page and test area for new ideas. The core of the home page is simply as a portal for friends and family to keep in touch and share photos easily. The site features a custom built photo album system allowing users to upload photos to their own albums, create password protected secure albums and create favourites albums of their favourite images from the other albums. The site also has a custom built guestbook and control centre.

The site also features a calendar creator allowing people to create custom built calendars where they can enter main images and smaller ones for specific dates. The system is designed to display correctly for users on screen while they are creating the calendar and makes full use of cascading style sheets (CSS) to reformat and resize the calendar for printing purposes.

As another little pet project, which stemmed from a requirement at Public-i, I created the family tree. This allows users to add information about family members and their relationships and have up to four generations displayed for the selected person. Clicking on someone selects them as the main person and displays their parents, grand-parents, any children and any relationships.
